The promises behind the offer

What it costs

The founding build is free because we both win: you get a site you'd otherwise pay for, I get a real business to show. Applying doesn't cost anything and doesn't commit you to anything — you see the site before you decide.

What the monthly covers

• Hosting on a fast server.
• Your own .com domain, and its renewal every year.
• The phone editor, so you change prices, photos and hours yourself.
• Your visitor dashboard.
• Backups.
• Two small changes a month, whenever you need them.

What a "small change" means

So that neither of us has to guess:

• A change that takes me up to about half an hour — new photos, a new price list, a paragraph rewritten, new opening hours, a dish or product added.
• Two a month. They don't roll over: an unused month doesn't become four changes the next one.
• Anything broken is not a change. If something on your site stops working, I fix it for free and it never counts against your two.
• Bigger work — a new page, a new feature, a redesign — I quote before I start. You never get a surprise invoice.

How fast

Your site is live within 7 days of the conversation where I get your photos and your list of items or services. If something on my side would take longer, you hear it from me before the week is out, not after.

When something breaks

If your site is down or something on it stops working, message me and you get an answer the same day, and I start on it straight away. Fixing it costs nothing.

Backups

Your site and everything you've written into it are backed up every night, and a copy is kept off the server that runs it — so a server dying doesn't cost you your website.

The domain is yours

Your domain is registered in your name, in an account that belongs to you — you hold the login. WellBuilt is listed as the technical contact so I can do the work without bothering you for every setting. If you ever leave, the domain leaves with you. There is nothing to buy back from me.

Your content is yours

Your photos, your text, your menu, your prices — yours, from the first day. Send me photos you have the right to use. If there's something you'd rather I never showed publicly, tell me and I won't.

If you leave

• Cancel any time. No contract, no notice period, no cancellation fee.
• You get a copy of your site's files to host anywhere you like.
• Your domain stays yours and moves with you.
• Hosting, the phone editor, the dashboard, backups and the monthly changes stop at the end of the month you've paid for. That's what the monthly pays for.

If you take a founding spot

The build is free, and in return I ask for three things:

• A small "Built by WellBuilt" link in your site's footer.
• Permission to show your site as my work — screenshots on this site and on Instagram.
• One line of feedback once you're live, that I can quote.

That's the whole deal. No exclusivity, no commission on what you sell, nothing locked to me.

Email on your domain

An address at your own domain is an add-on, not part of the monthly. I'll set it up if you want it, and tell you what it costs before anything is bought.

What I don't promise

I can't promise Google puts you first, and no website sells for you on its own. What I promise is a site built by hand for your business, that loads fast, stays up, and that you can change yourself from your phone.

If these change

I tell you before anything here changes for you, and the date at the top changes with it.
